I spoke last night and today at the mid-Atlantic ACMC Missions conference. My topics today were justice as missions and forgiveness as missions. In Job 31:13-28 records the words of Job:

"If I have denied justice to any menservants and maidservants when they had a grievance against me, what will I do when God confronts me? What will I answer when called to account? Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both from within our mothers?

If I have denied the desires of the poor or let the eyes of the widow grow weary

Last Sunday, on my way home from the airport, I  had a serious car accident. I don't know what actually happened. God preserved my life and my health although my car was totalled. Observers said I appeared to be unconscious as I drifted into oncoming traffic. Fortunately the other drive was not hurt and his truck sustained some damage. He swerved as moved into his path. This week was spent between work and medical appointments as we sought to understand what happened. Twice earlier this year I have lost consciousness, this time with no warning.
