Processual Analysis

The processual analysis is a qualitative study method that can offer insights into the study of forgiveness and reconciliation. The processual approach is rooted in an understanding of the nature of change in organizations that assumes that change is an ongoing emergent process with no finite endpoint; that change ermges from the actions and decisions of people and thtat imposition of lienear models of change are simplistic, denying the untidy processes which unfold in an iterative fashion with much backtrackging and omission.

The word,"process" can be used in three primary ways.
1. As a logic used to explain a causal relationship in a variance theory;
2. As a category of concepts that refer to activities of individuals and organizations;
3. As a sequence of events that describes how things change over time.
The third observes the process of action and is therby able to describe and account for how some entitiy or issue develops and changes over time and it is this definition that captures how I am using the term.
